The leaves are falling on rue des Écoles, the terraces are getting covered up, and cravings are shifting. This is the moment we've been waiting for to unveil our new fall-winter 2026-2027 menu. On the lineup: French classics with a fresh twist, seasonal ingredients and a few new dishes we can't wait for you to try.
Here's a look at what's waiting for you, just steps from the Sorbonne and the Monge market.
Seasonal Starters to Get Things Going
When temperatures drop, you want warmth on the plate. Our French onion soup gratinéed with Comté cheese delivers exactly that: a slow-simmered broth, a golden crust and cheese that stretches with every spoonful. A true fall essential in Paris.
In the same generous spirit, the roasted Camembert with honey and green apple plays on the contrast between the melting warm cheese, the sweetness of the honey and the crisp tartness of the apple. The roasted bone marrow with fleur de sel and our Burgundy snails with garlic butter and ground almonds (6 or 12 pieces) round out this very bistro-style selection.
For those who prefer something lighter, the smoked trout with beetroot in raspberry vinegar and the egg mayonnaise with chili, pickles and pomegranate bring color and character to the table. The leeks in vinaigrette with shallot and egg mimosa are a nod to the great Parisian bistros of yesteryear.

Main Courses: Where Tradition Meets the Season
Our main courses put the spotlight on poultry and fall produce.
The duckling breast with seasonal fruit, served with baby potatoes and a vegetable fricassee, is arguably the signature dish of this new menu. The chicken vol-au-vent with mushrooms and spinach in a cream sauce pays tribute to classic French cooking, the kind you don't find often enough in Latin Quarter restaurants anymore.
The chicken supreme with Parmesan crumble and the sautéed gnocchi with mushrooms and a fried egg are all about comfort. From the sea, the pan-fried sea bream fillet comes with potatoes, Kalamata olives and fresh herbs.
Meat lovers haven't been forgotten: our grilled ribeye steak with homemade béarnaise sauce and fresh-cut fries remains a house pillar. And for a more laid-back option, the Burger de la Table gets a winter makeover with a slice of roasted butternut squash and onion rings, served with homemade fries.
The Cardini Caesar salad with roast chicken breast is still here for anyone who wants to eat light without giving up on flavor.
Every main course can be paired with an additional side of your choice: sautéed vegetables, homemade fries, baby potatoes or green salad.

Sharing Plates for Happy Hour or Dinner with Friends
As a wine bar, we love tables where everything gets shared. Our cheese, charcuterie and mixed platters pair perfectly with our wine selection, available on a dedicated menu. The hummus with truffle oil and the croque-monsieur are ideal for a mid-afternoon bite or a happy hour that runs long.
Homemade Desserts
Hard to resist. The profiteroles with homemade hot chocolate sauce are back for the cold season, alongside the dark chocolate mousse with cocoa crumble and the crème brûlée with Muscovado sugar. The pistachio tiramisu adds an original touch, and the café gourmand with its four mini pastries remains the perfect solution for the indecisive.
For a lighter finish, the plain yogurt with crushed pistachios and our ice creams and sorbets (2 or 3 scoops) are also available.

Kids' Menu for €15
Families are always welcome. For kids 12 and under, the choice is between a griddled beef patty or chicken nuggets, both served with fries and homemade mayonnaise, with dessert included (a doughnut or a scoop of ice cream).
Coffee, Hot Drinks and Cold Drinks All Day Long
La Table des Écoles is also a neighborhood café. Espresso, café crème, cappuccino, Viennese hot chocolate, matcha latte or teas and herbal infusions: we're open from morning to night. Plant-based milks (oat, almond, barista coconut) are available for a small supplement.
On the cold side, you'll find juices, fresh-squeezed orange juice, kombucha in a variety of flavors, and our French craft beers from Marguerite on tap (blonde, white and IPA).
Have a question or want to book a table? Give us a call or stop by, we'd love to welcome you and have you discover this new menu.
